29th April 2014.

Arrived back in London from Seville at 10PM that Friday night and had about 3 hours of sleep before heading to Heathrow to catch my flight to Istanbul at 7 AM! No idea how I managed to survive on such little sleep!  First time flying Turkish airlines and must say that their food is almost better than my own cooking…

3 hours later we landed in a new city, a foreign place I’ve never visited before. Arrival at our hotel in Sultanahamet was a sweet reunion of mother and child. Mum had arrived earlier that morning and we hadn’t seen her for 6 months, so you know the drill.. big hugs and kisses. Went out for lunch near the Grand Bazaar at this restaurant which we eventually would end up returning to a couple more times during our trip. Food was delicious and the pomegranate juice was equivalent to my weekly dose of my average antioxidant intake! Headed further down the road to the Grand Bazaar and here are a few snaps of few shops that I visited. Just a reminder there are over 4000 shops in the grand bazaar itself!
